Bump & Bite ("we", "our", "the app") is a pregnancy food safety checker. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Photos & text descriptions: When you use the app to analyse a meal, your photo and/or text description is sent to our server for processing. Photos are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers after the analysis is complete.
Analysis history: Your scan history is stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to it.
Account information: The app creates an internal user ID so we can manage free scans, subscriptions, and account access. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we store the account identifier returned by that provider and may store your email address if the provider shares it. If you use email sign-in, we store your email address.
Subscription and quota information: We store your current plan, subscription status, scan limit, scans used, billing period dates, and RevenueCat customer identifier so scan limits can be enforced fairly.

The app requests access to your camera and photo library solely to let you photograph or select meals for analysis. We do not access your camera or photos for any other purpose. Permission can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
Photos sent for analysis are processed in real time and discarded immediately after the response is returned. No images are stored on our servers. Local history on your device persists until you delete the app. Account and subscription records are kept while your account exists so we can authenticate you and enforce scan limits.
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We follow industry-standard security practices.
You can delete your Bump & Bite account from inside the app. This removes your account and scan quota record from our backend. Deleting your Bump & Bite account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription; subscriptions must be cancelled through your App Store or Google Play account. Your local scan history can also be cleared by deleting the app.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
